Srinagar, Mar 18 (KNO): Former chief minister and National Conference (NC) Vice President, Omar Abdullah on Saturday called the incumbent government as ‘incompetent’, saying that it has been befooled thrice before Gujarat man, who received a special treatment by the administration in a bid to appease the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Addressing a gathering in Kulgam, Omar, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the fraud people from outside J&K have befooled the present administration in the Union Territory four times so far. “A fraud person, who poses himself as a PMO official was given special treatment. The officers, who are not even receiving our phone calls, were busy in appeasing the fraud official,” he said, adding that the conman besides getting a special treatment has chaired meetings of officers and also visited Line of Control (LoC) in Uri. “Being a former chief minister, I am not going to accept that the orders to grant security was given by the Deputy Commissioner as I know that it not his domain,” he said while criticizing the government for failing to identify the conman, saying that what incompetence is the government that it didn’t even bother to confirm and verify the identity of the fraud Gujarat man. “It shows the difference between the non-elected and elected governments. The present government is not there for the general public, but to appease the PMO,” he said. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the function, he said that there was no reason to delay the assembly polls as the weather conditions have improved and the situation according to the government is already conducive for the polls. “The elections would be held only if the BJP is ready to face the people,” he said, adding that otherwise there was no reason for delaying the process—(KNO)
